Where can I get my back scratched professionally?
The SKRATCH Spa™ in Huntersville, North Carolina offers a unique, tool-based sensory relaxation experience inspired by the soothing feeling of having your back gently scratched. Our trained SKRATCH practitioners use a variety of specialty tools, textures and techniques, never fingernails, to create calming sensations across the back and other areas of the body. It’s relaxation that feels familiar, yet completely different from a traditional spa experience.
Is there an ASMR-style relaxation spa near Charlotte?
The SKRATCH Spa™ in Huntersville, just north of Charlotte, offers sensory relaxation experiences that many guests describe as similar to the tingling, calming sensations associated with ASMR. Sessions may incorporate gentle scratching, brushing, tracing, scalp tools and multiple textures to create deeply relaxing sensory experiences. No fingernails are used.
What can I do if I want relaxation but don't like massage?
You don't have to love massage to love being pampered. The SKRATCH Spa™ was created as a different approach to relaxation. Yes! The SKRATCH Spa™ offers SKALP SKRATCH, a dedicated scalp-focused relaxation experience. Using specialty scratching, brushing and sensory tools, our practitioners create a variety of gentle sensations across the scalp designed to help you relax, unwind and enjoy that wonderfully soothing “someone is playing in my hair” feeling—without traditional massage.

What is a SKALP SKRATCH?
SKALP SKRATCH is The SKRATCH Spa's scalp-focused sensory relaxation experience. Instead of a traditional scalp massage, a SKRATCH practitioner uses a variety of specialty tools and techniques to scratch, brush, trace and stimulate soothing sensations across the scalp. Choose Deep Calm, our 60-minute experience, or Total Release, our 90-minute experience, when you want even more time to unwind.
What makes the SKALP SKRATCH different from what’s already included?
The SKALP SKRATCH was created after overwhelming guests requests for a scalp-focused experience. It is a deeply immersive treatment designed to quiet the mind and stimulate sensory pathways many guests never realized existed in the scalp. When done correctly, there are a multitude of benefits.
While the primary focus is the scalp, the experience also includes face, neck, décolleté, shoulders, and arms for complete relaxation.
What is the SKRÁcial?
Like the SKALP SKRATCH, the SKRÁcial was inspired directly from guests feedback, especially from those who loved the soothing sensation of our cool facial tools.
The SKRÁcial combines a professional facial performed by licensed estheticians with our signature SKRATCH sensory techniques to create a deeply relaxing, multi-sensory experience. The treatment includes cleansing, exfoliation, mask, facial massage technique, moisturizer and attention to neck, décolleté, shoulders, and arms.
The result? Radiant skin and a completely relaxed mind.
Is The SKRATCH Spa™ a massage spa?
No. The SKRATCH Spa™ offers a non-massage approach to relaxation.
Rather than traditional massage techniques such as kneading or manipulating muscles, our practitioners use specialty tools and sensory techniques to create relaxing sensations through gentle scratching, brushing, tracing and changing textures.
The experience is ideal for people who love the feeling of having their back gently scratched, their scalp stimulated or their skin lightly brushed, as well as people who want to relax but simply don't enjoy traditional massage.

Try something completely different together at The SKRATCH Spa™. Does The SKRATCH Spa™ use fingernails?
No. The SKRATCH Spa™ is a tools-only sensory relaxation experience. Our trained SKRATCH practitioners do not use their fingernails to scratch guests. Instead, we use a carefully selected variety of specialty tools—including brushes, rakes, scalp tools, silicone scrubbers and other textures—to create gentle scratching, brushing, tracing and soothing sensations.
Using different tools allows us to vary the pressure, texture and sensation throughout your experience while keeping your comfort and preferences at the center of every SKRATCH.
What happens during my first SKRATCH experience?
Your first visit begins with you.
Before your experience, we'll learn about your preferences, including the areas you'd like us to focus on, the sensations and pressure you enjoy, and anything you'd prefer us to avoid. Your SKRATCH practitioner will use that information to personalize your session.
Once you're comfortable, your practitioner will use a variety of specialty tools and techniques to create changing sensations through gentle scratching, brushing, tracing and different textures. No fingernails are used.
You don't have to know which tools or sensations you'll like before you arrive—that's part of discovering your SKRATCH.
Some guests love their backs scratched. Others can't get enough scalp attention. Some prefer lighter sensations, while others enjoy a higher intensity. Your experience is designed around what feels good to you.

How long are the SKRATCH experiences?
Durations range from 30 minutes (The Whisper) to 2 hours (The Catharsis).
Our 90-minute and 2-hour experiences are among the most popular because they allow for extended scalp-focused relaxation without needing to book a separate SKALP SKRATCH.
How can I expect to feel afterward?
The best place to explore this is through our Google reviews, where guests frequently describe the experience in their own words.
Many guests say they’ve never experienced relaxation quite like SKRATCH before. We’ve also received feedback from clients struggling with stress, insomnia, and anxiety who reported feeling calmer, more rested, and mentally reset afterward.

What are your prices? They aren’t listed on the website.
As a newer spa concept, we prefer to highlight the experience itself rather than focus heavily on pricing.
That being said, experiences generally range from $75 to $255, depending on duration and service selection. Many guests tell us they are pleasantly surprised by the value of the experience.
Do you offer couples or duo services beyond Trance 4 Two?
Absolutely. Couples may request nearly any combination of services and durations, not just the Trance 4 Two experience.
Guests may enjoy services together in our couple’s suite or in separate rooms for a more individualized experience.
